The list of organizations and companies that are separating themselves from Kanye West, a.k.a. Ye, continues to grow. Now, the Texas A&M Aggies have decided not to play one of his songs during a pivotal moment before their college football games.
Per The Eagle’s Travis L. Brown, Texas A&M Director of Athletics Ross Bjork said that the Aggies football team will no longer play Kanye West’s “Power” before home games following his ongoing antisemitic diatribes and racist messaging.
Texas A&M football will "pivot away" from Kanye West, or Ye's, "Power" after his recent anti-Semetic remarks, according to AD Ross Bjork.
Said they've been monitoring the situation with West for the last few weeks.

The school had been using the song as their football team’s entrance music before home games since 2012.

According to KBTX’s Conner Beene, the school will replace that with the instrumental version of “Bonfire” by Childish Gambino.

The university is just the latest entity to separate itself from the controversial rapper and fashion designer. Peleton also decided they would not include his music in their service on Thursday. NFL star Aaron Donald and NBA star Jeylon Brown both terminated their relationships with West’s Donda Sports marketing agency. Sportswear company Adidas ended their lucrative deal with West after a ton of backlash over not doing so soon enough. His Donda Academy and their basketball team have also been shunned.
There might be some Aggies faithful who are mad about the change to their tradition but it’s at least nice to see one Texas college football program move away from songs that have ties to racism.
