The Texas A&M Aggies suffered a somewhat surprising loss to the South Carolina Gamecocks last Saturday to continue their tumultuous season. Things appear to be getting worse for the Aggies, too, considering their coach has decided to suspend “at least three and possibly four players” from its heralded freshman class.

“When it rains it pours,” said Billy Liuicci, the co-owner and executive editor of TexAgs.com. “I’ve been told at least three and perhaps four A&M players have been suspended indefinitely by Aggie head coach Jimbo Fisher, all from the true freshman ranks. Got zero problem with the disciplinary action from Fisher. Probably should have seen it sooner in a couple of instances, to be honest.”

The Aggies entered the 2022 season as potential playoff contenders, but hopes were dashed in Week 1 when they lost to those pesky Appalachian State Mountaineers. Though they appeared to right the ship against the Miami Hurricanes in Week 2 and the Arkansas Razorbacks in Week 3, they have since lost three straight games, including defeats at the hands of the Alabama Crimson Tide and Mississippi State Bulldogs.

A&M, for its part, has yet to officially announce any suspensions. The Aggies host the Ole Miss Rebels, fresh off their own upset loss to the LSU Tigers, on Saturday.
