Texas Longhorns running back Bijan Robinson, a former five-star recruit, declared for the 2023 NFL Draft on Monday.

“The first thing I want to say is ‘Thank you,'” Robinson said in part in a videotaped statement. “These past three years have been a journey. So many experiences with this team, with the city, with the state of Texas—it’s been nothing but a blessing. I’m just so appreciative of everybody here that’s been a long with this ride.”

“I want to thank my teammates,” Robinson continued. “My former coaches that brought me here. Current coaches now. Coach Sark, for giving me the chance to keep using the gift that God has given me.”

Robinson finishes his three-year career with 539 rushes for 3,410 yards and 33 touchdowns. He added 60 receptions for 805 yards and eight touchdowns through the air.

“It’s been a fun three years and a fun ride,” Robinson said. “I am declaring for the 2023 NFL Draft. Even though this chapter is coming to an end, this journey is not over. I am always going to be a Longhorn. I bleed Burnt Orange. Thank you, Longhorn Nation, for everything. For everything. Everything I love about this place is because of you guys.”
