Jackson State cornerback Travis Hunter made it official Monday that he will be transferring from Jackson State.

Deion Sanders leaked the news over the weekend that Hunter would enter the transfer portal. Hunter was the No. 1 recruit in the country a few years ago and was going to attend Florida State before he decided to join Sanders at JSU, much to the shock of many.

Still, Hunter has not said whether or not he will be joining Sanders in Colorado even as the speculation is that it’s a mere formality.

“I don’t know what I’m going to do next,” said Hunter, who will “weigh his options” with his family before he makes a decision.

“I want to follow Coach Prime too, but I need to know if it’s a fit for me,” said Hunter. “If it’s not a fit for me, I’m not going. I just want everybody to know that.”

According to reports, at least 22 current Jackson State players have entered the transfer portal, with most expected to follow Sanders to Colorado. But will Hunter join them? Right now, it sounds like he might not be as sold on joining his former head coach as many think he is.
