It’s been a few weeks since we have heard from either the Tuohy Family or Michael Oher since Oher levied allegations against them about taking money from him and leading him on about adopting him. Well now, the family is finally fighting back against those charges.

Oher filed a lawsuit last month claiming that Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy fooled him into signing a conservatorship agreement in place of formal adoption, and used the arrangement to make themself millions in proceeds from the movie.

Well, now the Tuohy’s say they never intended to adopt Oher in the first place.

“There was never an intent to adopt him,” the family said in new court documents. The family also added when they called Oher son, it was “in the colloquial sense and they have never intended that reference to be viewed with legal implication.”

It’s almost as if the family is admitting that they did use Oher as he claims and had no intention of making him a part of their family.

Another thing that came out was the Tuohy’s claim that Oher did make millions from the movie “The Blindside” as did they according to more court documents.

“It is important to note that [Oher’s] share was paid to [the Tuohys] who paid the taxes due on these funds for some period of time but still cut a check for a full share (20%) to [Oher],” the Tuohys’ filing said.

In response to these new claims, Oher’s lawyer said “We look forward to Mike finally getting his day in court, where we are confident that the truth will prevail.”
