Ohio State Syndication: The Columbus Dispatch

One of the nation’s most talented transfer portal quarterbacks has found his new home. Will Howard is set to join the Ohio State Buckeyes in a major move in the college football world.

The news of Howard’s decision to attend OSU first emerged on Thursday evening.

ESPN’s Pete Thamel was among those to be first to report the news. Thamel reported the news on X, the website formerly known as Twitter.

“Former Kansas State quarterback Will Howard tells ESPN that he’s committed to Ohio State,” Thamel said. “Howard led KState to the Big 12 title in 2022 and gives the Buckeyes one of the most talented and experienced available QBs on the market.”

The Buckeyes will get an experienced passer in Howard, who played four years at Kansas State University. He accumulated 34 games in his career as a Wildcat and performed well. He threw for 5,786 passing yards at Kansas State while completing 58.8 percent of his passes. He threw 48 career touchdowns to 25 interceptions. Last season, he threw for 2,643 yards, 24 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. All while e completed 61.3 percent of his passes.

Ohio State is in need of getting over the hump. They’ve lost to rival Michigan three years in a row dating back to 2021. C.J. Stroud and then Kyle McCord couldn’t get it done. Now, all eyes will be on Howard. Because no matter what they do during the season, he’s going to be judged on how he plays in that game.
