Rapper Kanye West sparked controversy yet again this week when he made a string of antisemitic posts online in which he praised Adolf Hitler and labeled himself a “Nazi” before selling shirts featuring a Swastika on his website, which were advertised during the Super Bowl. As a result of his antics, billionaire Barstool Sports CEO Dave Portnoy has no kind words to say about the Grammy-winning artist.
During an interview with comedian and self-proclaimed street journalist Adam Glyn, Dave Portnoy did not hold back his criticism of Kanye West as he labeled him “one of the worst humans of all time.”
“Piece of s***,” Portnoy said of Kanye in a video Glyn posted to TikTok. “Kanye is one of the absolute greatest pieces of s***s of all time.”
This is certainly not the first time that Kanye West – who now goes by simply “Ye” – has sparked controversy with antisemitic comments. Back in 2022, the rapper made a series of anti-Jewish remarks that ultimately resulted in the loss of his brand partnership with the apparel giant Adidas.
Portnoy, who is Jewish himself, made it clear that he simply will not tolerate the rapper’s behavior.
“I have no room for him in my life. I think the people who prop him up, surround him, say he’s not a jerk… If he’s sick, put him in a hospital,” Portnoy said.
“I have no room for Kanye in my world. Kanye is one of the worst humans of all time,” he continued.
Portnoy did allow room for the possibility that West was dealing with mental illness, in which case, he thinks that West needs to get help.
“He may be sick. He may be sick. Kanye may be sick. In which case, get him his meds and put him in a mental institution. But [there are] too many ‘yes’ men around,” Portnoy said.
