On Friday night, Kansas City Chiefs superstar tight end Travis Kelce and global pop sensation officially married with a wedding in New York City’s Madison Square Garden. It was perhaps the biggest and most high-profile event in both pop culture and sports of the summer, and Donald Trump and the White House couldn’t help but use the occasion to mock Swift.

In a series of social media posts, the official White House account spoofed Taylor Swift’s imagery and her “Eras Tour,” mocking it to promote Trump’s presidency while she and Kelce were celebrating their wedding. The account also shared some edited images of screens outside Madison Square Garden, changing the text to praise Trump.

Trump’s Relationship With Taylor Swift

Over the years, Taylor Swift has been quite outspoken in her opposition to Trump, but that didn’t stop Trump from trying to gain her endorsement in the 2024 presidential election.

“Joe Biden didn’t do anything for Taylor, and never will. There’s no way she could endorse Crooked Joe Biden, the worst and most corrupt President in the History of our Country, and be disloyal to the man who made her so much money. Besides that, I like her boyfriend, Travis, even though he may be a Liberal, and probably can’t stand me!” Trump said on Truth Social during the 2024 presidential election.

Of course, Swift did not endorse Trump. After Biden dropped out of the race, Swift publicly endorsed former Vice President Kamala Harris over Trump.

Trump clearly did not take kindly to this endorsement, and he made his feelings about Swift known in a post on Truth Social.

“I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,” Trump wrote in all caps at the time.

‘Donald Trump is Your President’

On July 2 and 3, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce held wedding festivities in New York City’s Madison Square Garden. With the couple dominating the headlines across the sports and pop culture space, the White House seemingly decided to use the opportunity to pump up Trump while mocking Swift and Kelce.

In a social media post on Thursday, the White House official account posted a graphic spoofing Swift’s iconic Eras Tour posters. However, instead of Swift and her various eras, the graphic included a large photo of Trump in the middle of a collage of several moments in American history – with a few other photos of Trump mixed in.

On Friday, after Taylor and Travis officially tied the knot, the White House once again mocked the couple.

After the wedding became official, the signage outside of Madison Square Garden showed a special message reading “JUST&T MARRIED” on a pink screen.

The White House was quick to mock the message with a spoof photo that read “TRUMP IS YOUR PRESIDENT.”

The White House account has since posted several video clips on social media, highlighting different “eras” of America, including what it called the “golden era” that includes Trump’s presidency.
