It’s Halloween and everyone’s wearing costumes. ESPN’s Monday Night Football broadcast crew is no exception and Joe Buck and Troy Aikman decided to pay a fun homage and sport a terrific pair of costumes.
Buck and Aikman were seen at the top of the telecast for the matchup between the Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns sporting a retro look on Halloween night. The duo dressed up as their predecessors, wearing old ABC Sports blazers for the game.

Buck and Aikman’s Halloween costumes were a gift from the network they’d been holding onto for some time. ESPN gifted the duo these blazers back in May after they arrived on the campus in Bristol.
Returns on the Halloween costumes — yellow blazers with the ABC Sports vintage patch came in. And already, they have been very positive, stretching from the NFL world to others as well:
We made a Ringer jacket like this, ordered the patch and everything, a few years ago for a segment I was trying to do. I am calling for broadcasters to bring back network jackets. It's a good look and usually better than whatever suit the broadcaster was gonna wear on their own. https://t.co/IOUNSeCcbw

Not only is this a great nostalgia play, but it’s also still a very clean look. Retro looks tend to look better now with sharper cameras and these threads are no different. These could serve as their weekly getups and Buck, Aikman, and the Monday Night Football telecast wouldn’t even miss a beat. Alas, it’s Halloween. But the broadcast decided to give NFL and nostalgia lovers a nice treat.
