Kirk Herbstreit is going to be making a lot of money over the next few years thanks to new deals with his longtime employer and brand-new employer.
Herbie was officially announced as the new NFL analyst for Amazon’s Thursday Night Football booth alongside Al Michaels on Wednesday. The terms of his deal with the streaming service haven’t been announced but Andrew Marchand reported that it’s an “eight-figure deal,” which is not that shabby considering it’s for one game a week.

As for the rest of the week, Herbstreit will continue to work as a college football analyst for ESPN and has signed a new three-year extension with the Worldwide Leader where he’s getting an unknown raise in order to continue being their No. 1 college game analyst, getting to call the National Championship for the next five years, and having a role in ESPN’s NFL Draft coverage.

All of which is to say that dinner is on Kirk the next time you see him. And plenty of college football and NFL folks had a reaction to the news that Herbstreit came out of this wild announcer carousel with a brand-new gig and serious raise all around.
