Kirk Herbstreit

It has been a wild scene in Bozeman, Montana on Saturday for ESPN’s College GameDay crew. Given that the temperatures are in the negative, it appears that this truly is the coldest GameDay ever. And there’s no surer sign of that than what some of the hosts are wearing, especially Kirk Herbstreit.

While college football fans welcomed back Lee Corso and hoped he would be okay in the frigid temps, many were focused on the outfit that Herbstreit was wearing. For some, he appeared to look like an archeologist trying to find the lost stones (Montana Jones?). For others, he looked like he was about to embark on an adventure in the jungles of Bozeman. And for some, he looked like a city guy doing his best to look like a Montana local, which, we suppose, is what was actually happening.

Whatever it was that his fedora and heavy coat inspired, college football fans had a field day tweeting about it and throwing out comparisons.

Whether he reminds you of Indiana Jones, Paddington Bear, or an extra on Yellowstone, it looks like Kirk is gonna be able to stay warm out there in the cold Montana temperatures, so whatever works, city slicker.
