Pat McAfee is heading to the Worldwide Leader. At the Disney Upfronts on Tuesday, ESPN announced it agreed to bring the rowdy and famous McAfee and The Pat McAfee Show onto their network.

The news about McAfee and ESPN uniting first came from Andrew Marchand and the New York Post.

“NEWS: The Pat McAfee Show is headed to ESPN,” Marchand tweeted to fanfare on Tuesday.

McAfee tweeted a congratulatory message that showed appreciation for his ravenous fanbase. “Hello beautiful people… We appreciate and love you all,” McAfee said. “Together we’ve truly changed the game.”

It’s massive news for McAfee and an indicator of his successes. He walked away from a multi-million dollar deal with FanDuel and brought the ship to ESPN. It’s quite a move for him and good for him. He’s made a name for himself, obtained a loyal fanbase, and now is bringing his platform to ESPN.

McAfee is no stranger to the four-letter network. He appeared on College GameDay as a contributor this past season. Pat also hosted various watchalongs and coverage of the College Football Playoff. He also appeared on WWE television as a color commentator on Friday Night Smackdown on Fox.

The sports world had much to say about this massive Pat McAfee announcement. A lot of it was overwhelmingly positive.
