The National Football League announced on Monday that the 2025 NFL Draft will take place in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Lambeau Field and the Packers will host the annual mega-event, which has traveled to numerous locations since they left New York City in 2015.
Green Bay becomes the ninth different city to host the draft since it moved away from NYC.

The Packers join the Chicago Bears, Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, Las Vegas Raiders, Kansas City Chiefs, and Detroit Lions as teams who have hosted the festivities. Detroit will host the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft on April 25-27, 2024.
While Green Bay isn’t exactly a “destination” for tourists, for NFL fans, this will provide a fun opportunity. It has long been regarded as one of the most hallowed locations in the NFL. Lambeau Field has seen its fair share of history over the years, and in 2025, it will make history again.
What’s more? Funnily enough, this is not the first time that the NFL Draft has been held in Wisconsin. On the contrary, in fact, the 1940 Draft was hosted in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, at the Schroeder Hotel. Hall of Famers George McAfee and Clyde “Bulldog” Turner were selected during that draft.
So the league’s continued theme of making the NFL Draft a huge event will stretch halfway into the 2020s. One should probably expect them to keep that going as the 2030s approach.
