We’ve all eaten something that’s so hot it’s unbearable. Whether it scorches your tongue, makes you sweat, or isn’t pleasant as it moves through you, everybody has had a version of that experience.

But Ben Sumadiwiria, a London-based chef ate a dish that had 100 bird’s eye chilis rushed together. That gave it a Scoville rating of 20 million. For reference, Tabasco sauce is 100-600, a jalapeno is 2,500-5,000, and a single Bird’s Eye pepper can be anywhere from 100,000 to 225,000.

He seemed happy to begin to eat the noodles, but it didn’t take long for discomfort to set in. He began wincing, but sucked it up, and was able to hunker down and take another big serving before having to take his shirt off.

He then began to get more noticeably sweaty, and was forced to stand because of the discomfort. He was doing everything he could to stop it, but nothing helped. It got to a point where he was exclaiming that he was deaf.

After rinsing his head off and taking an extended break, he seemed relatively okay considering just how hot those noodles were.

That certainly tops anything that’s ever been put in front of likely every person reading this.
