In Anthony Bourdain’s awesome Reddit AMA on Tuesday, he was asked what food trend he would like to see die quickly. Here was (the first part of) his response:
I would like to see the pumpkin spice craze drowned in its own blood. Quickly.
As usual, Mr. Bourdain is spot-on. But clearly McDonald’s does not agree with the Parts Unknown host (and chef/food junkie) or myself, as they will soon serve pumpkin spice fries at McDonald’s locations in Japan:

The fries feature chocolate sauce and pumpkin sauce, and will be available from September 28th through Halloween. I don’t know why McDonald’s would mess with one thing they actually do right, but here we are.
