Close up of Thai spicy instant noodles.

Not every college student survived on cheap eats, but for those who did, it’s likely that they bought a whole lot of ramen noodles and a whole lot of Pringles.

It’s a bit surprising it’s taken this long to put those two things together.

Pringles and Nissin — the company behind Top Ramen — are teaming up to make Top Ramen Chicken Pringles, perhaps the perfect cheap college student foodstuff.

According to a press release, “Pringles flavorologists worked closely with Nissin to pop the top on a classic noodle dish and bring the fan-favorite Top Ramen Chicken Flavor to life on a Pringles crisp. The result? A crisp that tastes like Nissin Top Ramen Chicken Flavor right out of the bowl.”

If you’re curious, you better also act fact. Food and Wine reports that the special flavor chip will only be available for a limited time in July. Plus, they will only be available at Dollar General Stores. The going rate for Top Ramen Chicken Pringles? $1.50. A perfect price point for their audience.

Top Ramen Chicken Pringles now takes it’s rightful place in the Pringles pantheon of strange flavors next to Hot Diggity Dog Pringles, Grilled Shrimp Pringles, Blueberry & Hazelnut Pringles, and Pecan Pie and Salted Caramel Pringles. It’s like the Mount Rushmore of questionable 1 a.m. snack choices.
