If you have ever wanted to melt down a Twix bar or two and spread it on your bagel, well then you are in luck. Mars Chocolate is bringing spreadable Twix to your favorite grocery store to satisfy your cravings. Unfortunately, it may only be available to you if you live in the United Kingdom, for now.

Essentially what we have here is a Twix bar broken down into crumbling pieces and mixed in a chocolate spread. And you know what? I’m just fine with that.

“Innovation is a key factor in maximising sales and driving growth within this category,” Mars Chocolate Drinks and Treats general manager Michelle Frost said in a statement. “Our spreads range combines great tastes and familiar brands, to offer greater retail choice and meet consumer demand for more indulgent spreads.”

This is how Mars Chocolate finally finds a way to get into the recent trend of alternatives to peanut butter. Go in any grocery store aisle and you will see almond and hazelnut spreads from a handful of companies sitting on the shelf right there with your traditional peanut butter options. Hershey has already entered this market with a few different chocolate spread options using their signature recipes.

The question now becomes what spread option will come next from Mars Chocolate? Now that we have Twix, could a Snickers spread be far behind? Better question, why isn’t it already available here in North America?
