If you are like me, then chances are you have to clean your keyboard every now and then to remove the crumbs from your lunch or snacking throughout the day. Now, I’m not one that has greasy fingers from too many chips while blogging, but the dirt and grime does build up on my keyboard more than I would like. Or maybe you have been one of many people to spill their coffee or soda or some other beverage over your keyboard. Good news. There may be a solution.

Corsair has developed a mechanical keyboard that claims to be able to withstand dust and spills thanks to its individual silicone rubber shield on each key. This is designed to protect the internal hardware of your keyboard while also making cleaning up any accidents on the outer portion of the keyboard incredibly easy. Hallelujah!

The K68 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard comes with all the bells and whistles gamers will appreciate, including red LED lighting underneath the keys, dedicated volume and multimedia controls and keys specifically for various Windows features. But the silicone rubber layering is the big seller here, because who doesn’t go in for a gaming session on their PC without something to drink or snack on?

Mechanical keyboards used to be the norm in the earlier days of the PC age, but are now desired for hardcore gaming enthusiasts over the keyboards you may be more likely to be using. They tend to be bulkier, sturdier and more precise with the keystrokes. Now, Corsair may have a keyboard that bloggers like me may seek out just for the cleanliness factor.

There is only one drawback for some of us. This keyboard is only able to be used on Windows PCs, which leaves Mac users like me out of luck. Once again, gamers with their PC super rigs get all the good toys.
