Driving in New Jersey is an experience no sane human being should ever have to deal with, even if they are residents of the great state. Jughandles, truck lanes and the like all cause for massive traffic jams and massive confusion as well.

So some enterprising hackers decided to have a little fun with a road sign along Route 40 just outside of Atlantic City which encompasses the driving experience in the Garden State.

Poop. Driving in New Jersey summarized in one, childish word.

This was on the eastbound side of the road, as the westbound signs still showed a warning about upcoming roadwork. They missed out on the fun. Quickly, the sign’s message was changed once the powers-that-be realized what it said.

“The Department reiterated to the contractor that the control boxes of all PVMS must be secured with a lock to prevent vandalism,” NJDOT communications director Stephen Shapiro said.

Clearly, he doesn’t find poop funny. Or he actually enjoys driving New Jersey roads, which means he’s probably not human.
