When a 69-year-old man (of course), whips it out in public, especially in front of college students, you’d be very disturbed and probably want to run away and call the cops. But in Italy, according to their Supreme Court, whipping it good in public isn’t a crime, even if you’re a voyeuristic person and want to be watched.

The man was sentenced initially to a three-month prison term and fined about $5000 (€3,420). Local courts handed down this sentence, but it was reversed by the Italian Supreme Court after they found a reform which meant that “the act is not included in the law as a crime”. It’s just really weird. So, people can’t be sentenced for obscene acts in public places, such as jerking off in a town square, for instance.

Many people go to Italy for sightseeing. Apparently, Italy’s version of Herbert from Family Guy decided to go for another type of sightseeing and in doing so forced Italy’s supreme court to say that public masturbation isn’t a crime.

Still, we don’t recommend trying this out. The internet exists for a reason.
