On Thursday, the state of Alabama released the full tallies from its special U.S. Senate election earlier this month, in which Doug Jones defeated Roy Moore. And although every election in prone to wacky write-ins, this one, for reasons beyond our purview, was particularly loaded with bizarre ballots.

We sifted through the results to compile a partial list of famous people who were not running for the U.S. Senate but received votes in the election anyway. What we found was a treasure trove of actors, fictional characters and, perhaps most of all, football coaches. Everyone from Brent Favre to Deez Nuts to Beyonce to Harambe the gorilla.

Our list nowhere near exhaustive. There were all kinds of wacky votes, including ballots such as “a better choice” and “anyone else,” as well as the classic “not listed due to graphic language.” Those aren’t counted here (nor are the many tallies for dead presidents or the ample misspellings of the name Condoleezza Rice), but you’re welcome to wade through the county-by-county data yourself, right here.

Anyway, here are some of the surprising names who received write-in votes, along with their approximate totals.
