A Pennsylvania man was quite unhappy about the arrangement of his groceries on a February trip to Giant Food Store.

Bradley Bower allegedly attacked a Giant Food Store cashier, after the cashier bagged potato chips together with canned goods, according to the Fairview Township Police. Bower was particularly angry that the potato chips were “smashed”, claiming it was because the canned goods were in the same bag.

According to the police, Bower asked the cashier, “Do you have a problem with me? Because I have a problem with you.” The cashier thought Bower was kidding, and replied, “Do you?”

Well, Bower then “attacked the cashier, grabbing him around the neck and shoving the clerk against the cash register.” Here’s more on the story, from Global News:

That’s when police said Bower attacked the cashier, grabbing him around the neck and shoving the clerk against the cash register, while calling the victim an “idiot.” The clerk was able to push Bower away while a manager called police.

According to the police report, Bower told officers he knew he was in the wrong and was having a bad day and “this issue with the chips just sent him over the edge.”

Potato chips in the same bag as canned food is certainly an understandable gripe, especially if there was clear smashing taking place- as seemed to be the case here. Choking the cashier may be taking it just a tad too far, though.
