This first week of the NFL season is over and it sadly didn’t include Marshawn Lynch. The former NFL running back was nicknamed “Beast Mode”, but he may have to award his nickname to another athlete.
Lynch, 30, earned his nickname with his incredible running skills and his ability to truck over defenders. While football isn’t the same as rugby, one thing is the same: players truck and run over each other all the time.
Since the two sports do share that one big point in common, the sport of rugby may have found its very own “Beast Mode” in an 8-year-old.

That highlight reel is just ridiculous. Those 8-year-olds don’t stand a chance against him. Are we sure we don’t have a real life rugby version of this scene from The Benchwarmers?
Granted the “12-year-old” pitcher in The Benchwarmers looks a bit older than the eight-year-old rugby player, but there’s no denying they are crushing their opponents in the same way.
Now all the kid needs to do is electrify a fan base and deliver a championship and then he can really earn the name “Beast Mode.”
