As we have seen, the internet has become beyond oversaturated with videos of outrageous basketball shots. But when one breaks a world record, it’s probably worth looking at.
Recently, a group called “How Ridiculous” posted a video of them making the shot from the top of a dam in Switzerland. The shot was made nearly 600 feet above the hoop, which is a world record.
Like any one of these videos, the first thought for many is whether this shot is actually real. While it doesn’t seem worth it to have a debate, it seems pretty legit to me.
It’s also amazing how much went into this whole thing. I wonder if this much is going through Steph Curry’s head each time he attempts a 3-point shot.
Looking at how this usually goes, it doesn’t seem likely that this record will last for very long. These ridiculous shot guys are all about one-upping each other. So, be on the lookout for a shot taken from an even higher distance real soon.
