Heckling of athletes isn’t anything new, but in the sport of golf that has been a rather new invention. Apparently there was a new target this weekend at the PGA Championship — Bubba Watson.

Yes, the lovable and struggling Watson apparently has some haters out there.

During the third round of the PGA Championship this weekend, Watson had a mighty heckler and apparently his caddie had enough. That caddie, Ted Scott, had a bright idea for the troll following Watson around and unleashed it following Watson teeing off on the 12th hole of Baltusrol.

Lesson No. 1 to idiot fans at a golf tournament, let alone your local municipal course — talking loudly during someone else’s backswing is not cool.

However, the best part may be Watson’s reaction as he stared down said hecklers and challenged them to do it again as his caddie disarmed them with the sick burn of “why don’t you go back to your grandma’s basement.”

To be fair, Watson isn’t exactly an angel when it comes to fan interaction, as he is notorious for unleashing at fans following bad shots throughout the years. This time around, the fans deserved it and hopefully were tossed from the action.
