The Open Championship is set to kick off at Royal Liverpool Golf Club in Hoylake, England on Thursday, and many golfers are certainly eager to get on the course at this point. Unfortunately, one golfer nearly had a disaster on his hands after the airline he flew overseas with lost his golf clubs on the trip over.

PGA Tour veteran Adam Schenk is among the 156 players in the upcoming tournament, and he and his family flew over for the highly anticipated event.

His wife, Kourtney Schenk took to social media on Monday morning to reveal that while they had made it to the United Kingdom for the British Open, his golf clubs were not quite as lucky.

“3 majors in 3 months for AJ. He crushed his travel to England & is ready for The Open. Unfortunately, Delta did not crush out travel and left dad’s golf clubs behind in the U.S. Gonna need those…”

Luckily there was a positive update on this situation, as it seems like the clubs were found and sent over to the United Kingdom on the next flight over, which just so happened to have another golfer on it.

Kourtney Schenk posted an update on Twitter, saying that Malory Connors, the wife of PGA Tour golfer Corey Connors, had found the clubs unattended laying on the floor when she landed later that morning.

“Update: Mallory Connors found Adam’s clubs when she landed this morning lol just laying there for the taking! Who needs Delta when a couple of tour wives are on the case?!”

It seems like all is now good with Adam Schenk and his clubs, and now he can focus solely on winning his first major championship at The British Open.
