Former President Donald Trump is back in the news for talking tough to a controversial politician.

Former Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon recently resigned over her failure to secure Scottish independence from the United Kingdom. Trump attacked Sturgeon on Tuesday for her defense of transgender rights and standing in the way of his desire to build “the greatest golf properties in Scotland.”

“Good riddance to failed woke extremist Nicola Sturgeon of Scotland! This crazed leftist symbolises [sic] everything wrong with identity politics,” Trump wrote on Truth Social before attacking Sturgeon’s well-documented defense of transgender rights in the country.

In a second post, however, Trump turned his attention to his Scottish golf properties and Sturgeon standing in the way of improving them to his liking.

“I built the greatest golf properties in the world in Scotland, but she fought me all the way, making my job much more difficult. The wonderful people of Scotland are much better off without Sturgeon in office!”

Trump operates two golf courses in Scotland — one in Balmedie, Aberdeenshire, and another in Turnberry, South Ayrshire.

Trump landed in hot water in 2022 when the Trump Organization put a $161 million valuation on the property in Aberdeenshire, which New York Attorney General Letitia James alleged was an inflated value as part of a possible fraud scheme, according to Business Insider.
