It’s well-known that LIV Golf’s Dustin Johnson is married to Paulina Gretzky. The successful golfer seemed to imply Wednesday that he was a little too successful in that area of his life as well.

Following his victory at LIV Golf Tulsa, Johnson was speaking with reporters at Oak Hill about his recent performance when he mentioned that he “tweaked” his back before the PIF Saudi International in February.

“I was ready at the start of the season, I was going out to play the Saudi International, and I tweaked my back right before that,” said Johnson. “And so I didn’t hit balls for a few weeks until right before I went and played Mexico. So, it’s just taken me a while to get back.”

A reporter followed up and asked about the extent of the injury. Johnson replied by saying “I just pulled a muscle in my lower back.”

The reporter then asked if he’d hurt himself “swinging a club or lifting up a kid.”

“No,” Johnson responded with a laugh before adding, “Yeah, lifting up a kid, just a bigger kid.”

At this point, the room erupted in laughter as everyone started to figure out what Johnson was implying.

“I don’t know how to follow that up,” a reporter added before moving on.

Naturally, the comment garnered a lot of reactions from around the golf world.
