Sunday September 25 was tragic in the world of sports, as one of the brightest young pitchers in MLB, Jose Fernandez, and one of the best golfers of all time, Arnold Palmer, both passed away.
Just like baseball players did upon hearing the news of Jose Fernandez’s death, golfers in the United States and around the world publicly mourned the death of Arnold Palmer.
Thanks Arnold for your friendship, counsel and a lot of laughs. Your philanthropy and humility are part of your legend.

Shortly after Palmer’s death was announced, the United States Golf Association quickly released the following tribute video.

It’s hard to argue against that being one of the better SportsCenter commercials released.
Then there was a tweet to The King from The President.
Here's to The King who was as extraordinary on the links as he was generous to others. Thanks for the memories, Arnold. pic.twitter.com/UlyfpIBOL2

Overall, it was a sad day in the world of sports as one legend and one rising star were taken too soon.
