Once the NCAA Tournament ends, the next major sporting event on the docket is the Masters which takes place the first weekend in April.

This golf tournament is probably the most prestigious golf tournament out of all the majors because of its traditions such as the previous winner putting the green jacket on the new winner and because of the beauty of Augusta National this time of year.

The Masters also has a tradition where the winner gets to pick their dinner and that has been met with some controversy over the years especially when Tiger Woods won his first Masters and Fuzzy Zoeller made some racially incentive comments about the type of food he’d be serving at the winner’s dinner that night.

But one popular menu item that will be missing this year is the iconic peach ice sandwiches. Last year the popular dessert was unavailable because of a quality control issue, now it looks like it is gone forever.

The replacement for the peach ice cream? Some kind of new berry ice cream dessert.

But it won’t be the same. Georgia, of course, is known for its Georgia peaches, so maybe instead of serving peach ice cream they can serve another southern favorite next year; peach cobbler
