Tiger Woods has been the talk of the sports world recently since it was reported he’d be at Augusta National for some practice rounds with hopes of playing in the 2022 Masters Tournament.
It has been nearly one year since Woods was in a horrific car crash that nearly cost him his leg. He has not played in a PGA Tour event since the crash, and it seemed like a longshot that he would be able to compete right now.
However, it appears that the practice rounds have gone well for Woods. He announced that, as of Tuesday, he plans to play in The Masters, which would truly be a special moment for golf fans.
Former NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning knows what it is like to golf with Woods. Manning famously teamed up with Woods in 2020 for “The Match” where they defeated Tom Brady and Phil Mickelson.
It seems that Manning may have been spoiled by teaming with Woods, as he recently detailed what it has been like playing golf with others since playing with the five-time Masters champion.
“It’s made my golf matches with my buddies and a couple member-guests disappointing since then,” Manning told Golf Magazine’s Dylan Dethier on Monday. “It’s been a major letdown when my friend Eric Black can’t get up and down from some of the places Tiger did.”

If all goes to plan for the rest of the week, it certainly looks like we will be seeing Tiger Woods’ miraculous return to The Masters, which should certainly be a fantastic moment for the sport of golf.
