As many golf fans may know, LIV Golf players are not part of the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) points.

The OWGR essentially refuses to acknowledge LIV golfers in their ranking system, which means those players can’t qualify for some of the majors.

Phil Mickelson seems to have had enough and sent a very vocal message to the OWGR over the way it’s treating LIV Golf players.

“Maybe some LIV players won’t be missed. But what if NONE of the LIV players played? Would they be missed? What about next year when more great players join? Or the following year? At some point they will care and will have to answer to sponsors and television,” Mickelson wrote in a since-deleted post.

He ended the post with the acronym “FAAFO,” or “F*** around and find out.”

On Tuesday, The PGA of America announced the 2024 PGA Championship field for next week. The list includes 16 LIV golfers.

There are rumors that if OWGR doesn’t change its policy (which it looks like it won’t) some golfers may come back to the PGA Tour. Perhaps that was part of the plan all along.
