Part of the deal when you join the Saudi-backed LIV Golf series is that you’re going to get criticized by some of your contemporaries. Most of those critiques have come from golfers associated with the PGA Tour. However, they don’t have a monopoly on taking shots at LIV Golf players and one former European Tour player has joined the fray, lashing out at Ian Poulter.
Barry Lane represented Europe in the 1993 Ryder Cup and has five European Tour victories to his credit. The 62-year-old took to Twitter earlier this week to ask how to block someone on the platform if they are tweeting about a specific person.
How can you block someone when other followers retweet his tweets.Don’t want to see anything from Poulter. He trying to Kill all Tours in Europe.

“Don’t want to see anything from Poulter,” wrote Lane. “He [is] trying to kill all [the] tours in Europe.”
Lane didn’t specifically mention LIV but he appears to be referring to how that series divided the loyalties of golfers and cut into the number of quality golfers available to play in European Tour events.
Poulter specifically fought to get reinstated in the Scottish Open after he was suspended from the tournament because of his involvement with LIV. That suspension was indeed overturned and Poulter and three other golfers were allowed to take part in the Open. Last week, Poulter returned to the DP World Tour by playing on the D+D Real Czech Masters while he awaits another legal decision about his ability to continue to do so.
