31-year-old Megan Gaither is an English teacher and varsity cheerleading coach at St. Clair High School in Missouri and she’s facing a bit of controversy after the school learned that she has been making and posting adult content online.
Megan Gaither has been put on leave after the school district found that she has been creating content on a subscription-based adult website. Gaither says that she uses the money from the website to help supplement her income and pay back her $125,000 in education loans.
“Teaching does not financially support a person,” Gaither told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. “It’s really hard to stretch those paychecks during the summer. That’s why I did it.”
Before the school learned of her subscription site, Gaither had 1,500 subscribers and was earning between $3,000 and $5,000 from her content each month. Gaither said that she never showed her face in her videos and photos in an attempt to remain anonymous and juggle teaching and content creation. Unfortunately for Gaither, she was unable to remain anonymous.
Gaither initially deactivated her account on the adult website but has since re-activated her account where she will hope to get a subscription boost as a result of the news.
