MA high school football field storming

It’s not too often that we get to see fans rush the field in an eventual loss, but when we do, it’s pretty damn funny.

The last instance of this occurrence took place on Thursday between two high school teams in Massachusetts. After scoring a touchdown late in the game, the fans of Lynn English High School rushed the field. But with three seconds left, the game had to go on. With the Lynn English fans on the sidelines waiting to rush the field again, things got weird.

The other team, Lynn Classic High School, got two shots at a return and took advantage. After getting a rekick thanks to an offsides penalty on Lynn English, Lynn Classic pulled off one of the best kick returns you will ever see and came up with the win.

Wow. That’s one heck of a return. Though this is just a high school game, there are some resemblances to other big-time football moments. Let’s start with the premature rushing of the field. It was very much similar to when Kentucky fans prematurely rushed the field.

The stakes were a little higher in Lexington, but you can the similarity. There’s also a hint of Music City Miracle in Thursday’s winning kickoff return.

Well, this game was definitely a reminder of the roller-coaster nature that sports have. It’s definitely something we should all be thankful for.
