Texas Tech quarterback commit Will Hammond packed a whole season’s worth of stats into one game Friday night.

Hammond, a senior, threw for 719 yards and four touchdowns, and rushed for 88 yards and six touchdowns in a Texas 6A high school football game. Add it all up, and Hammond accounted for 807 yards of total offense and 10 touchdowns.

Oh, the most important stat isn’t so great: Hammond’s Hutto High School team lost to Liberty Hill, 82-80. In case you’re wondering, the teams did field defenses in the game, but this was still the highest scoring 11-man high school football game in Texas since 2016.

Hammond, a consensus top 20 quarterback recruit, committed to the Red Raiders in December. With that type of offensive background, he’ll probably fit in right away in Texas Tech’s traditionally high-powered offense.

Football fans were stunned by the incredible performance.
