Boris Bede celebrates a game-ending FG.

The Toronto Argonauts-Hamilton Tiger-Cats CFL game Monday first got attention for an end-of-first-half 40-yard field goal attempt from Argos’ kicker Boris Bede that looked wide, but was called good. Interestingly enough, the game also ended with a Bede field goal attempt. And although that attempt came from further out (51 yards), Bede provided no room for doubt on it:

That’s a tremendous kick from Bede, and one that provided a great finish to this rivalry game. Hamilton and Toronto went back and forth all game, but the Argonauts came out on top in the end. That was thanks to a terrific final-minute drive from quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson (who threw for 388 yards and two touchdowns with an interception on the night), an excellent catch from Dejon Brissett, and then this kick from Bede.
