Everyone’s favorite 44-year-old athlete put together an amazing performance in front of a national audience on Sunday Night Baseball, against the defending champions.
Texas Rangers starting pitcher Bartolo Colon took a perfect game into the eighth inning against the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park. Colon finally lost the perfect game when he walked Astros’ young star Carlos Correa to lead off the bottom of the eighth.
Colon still had the no-hitter intact, but lost it on the next batter when Josh Reddick doubled down the right field line.
Colon, at 44 years, 326 days, is oldest pitcher to ever carry a no-hitter to 8th inning. No pitcher at this age has gone more than 7 innings and allowed 1 hit.

Still, it was an absolutely incredible effort against the best lineup in baseball, and from a 44-year-old pitcher!

Colon was masterful with his comeback two-seamer on the night, and didn’t really throw much else but the fastball.

Perfect game gone. No-hitter for Bartolo Colon still intact. And that's 26 consecutive fastballs and counting.

Here are some more tweets on the ridiculous performance from Big Sexy:
A perfect game really would have been the full Colon experience, but I guess we'll have to settle for the semi-Colon.
