This season, superstar slugger Aaron Judge made history by hitting an American League record 62 home runs in a single season with the New York Yankees this year and is set for an absolutely gigantic payday when he ultimately signs a new contract, wherever he chooses to go in free agency. But even though he’ll have plenty of extra cash, Judge apparently has no plans to try to buy his famous 62nd home run ball.

The ball is expected to sell for over $3 million when it hits auction and has the potential to become the highest-priced baseball ever sold. And apparently, that’s too much for Aaron Judge. The slugger was asked if he had any plans to purchase the home run ball, and he had a pretty humorous response.

“Oh, no. I haven’t signed my free agent deal yet, so I think that’s a little out of my price range right now,” Judge said.

It’s obviously a joke, as Judge could certainly afford the ball even on his previous contract.

Aaron Judge is now heading into free agency following his record-breaking season with the New York Yankees. Judge has spent his entire career with the Yankees and fans would obviously welcome him back, but with the Yankees seemingly concerned about their chances of re-signing Judge, other teams are entering the conversation.
