The Albuquerque Isotopes (Colorado Rockies’ Triple-A affiliate) had 50-cent hot dog night on Wednesday at Isotopes Park, and fans in attendance certainly took advantage of the promotion.
Maybe a bit too much.
The Isotopes tweeted that 5,489 fans were in attendance, and 20,073 hot dogs were sold. Do the math and that’s 3.7 hot dogs per person!
On the first 50¢ Hot Dog Night of 2018:
5,489 fans consumed a whopping total of 20,073 hot dogs!!! That's an average of over 3.5 hot dogs per person!

These were probably small hot dogs, but really? 3.7 A PERSON?
There was a limit of six hot dogs per person, which you’d think shouldn’t be necessary but probably was in this case.
The #ABQTopes are back in town tonight to open up a five-game set with the @LasVegas51s…oh…and it's 50¢ Hot Dog Night!!!

It’s possible this hot dog total will even be topped when the Isotopes host their next 50-cent Hot Dog Night in the summer (which should result in a bigger crowd), on July 17.
