Boston Red Sox rookie outfielder Andrew Benintendi made a catch that was just absolutely absurd.

The ed Sox are on the road in Tampa, and with a runner on first in the eighth inning of Monday night’s game, Rays second baseman Logan Forsythe hit one to deep left that was certainly on its way out of the park.

Benintendi had other plans, and made an amazing leaping effort to rob a dinger. It was very fortunate for the Red Sox, as Benintendi started the game in center, and made his way over to left for the eighth inning.

Let’s take another look at this beauty.

The catch helped the Red Sox maintain their lead, as they went on to win the game 6-2.

Each game counts for the Red Sox as we get closer and closer to October, as they’re in a heated AL East race with the Blue Jays and Orioles, and even the Yankees are just 6.5 games out of first.
