The Angels announced that pitcher Tyler Skaggs died today in Texas at age 27. The Angels were in Arlington preparing to begin a series against the Rangers. Today’s game has been postponed.

“It is with great sorry that we report Tyler Skaggs passed away earlier today in Texas.

Tyler has, and always will be, an important part of the Angels Family. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Carli and his entire family during this devastating time.”

There aren’t really any details available as of yet. This is obviously horrible news. Condolences to everyone affected.
