The Angels announced that pitcher Tyler Skaggs died today in Texas at age 27. The Angels were in Arlington preparing to begin a series against the Rangers. Today’s game has been postponed.

There aren’t really any details available as of yet. This is obviously horrible news. Condolences to everyone affected.

From police regarding the death of @Angels Tyler Skaggs: No foul play is suspected. The investigation is ongoing. He was found dead in his hotel room this afternoon. Police were called to the Hilton at 2:18 p.m.
