Four-time Gold Glove winner (and constant magician) Andrelton Simmons left the Los Angeles Angels to join the Minnesota Twins in January, but the Angels still have some wizardry at the shortstop position. The Angels acquired José Iglesias in a trade with the Baltimore Orioles over the offseason, and the veteran shortstop has been making remarkable plays all spring. And a play he made in the Angels’ spring training game on Wednesday against the Kansas City Royals may be the best one yet.

Kansas City’s Cam Gallagher hit a groundball that was ticketed for center field, but Iglesias made an incredible diving play to get to it. But that was just half of what made the play unbelievable. Iglesias rolled over and made an ABSURD throw — a perfect strike — from the ground.

This is just insane:

How?! Incredible.

And here’s a look at some of the other plays Iglesias has made this spring:

He’s going to put together a year’s worth of highlights from this month alone.
