Oakland Athletics center fielder Ramon Laureano was suspended six games by MLB for his role in Oakland’s brawl with the Houston Astros, but is appealing the suspension. That makes Laureano available at the moment for the A’s, and they’re certainly happy he was able to play on Wednesday against the Los Angeles Angels.
In the bottom of the seventh, the Angels’ Brian Goodwin hit what appeared to be the game-tying homer, but Laureano had other ideas. Laureano timed a jump perfectly, and reached over the wall to rob Goodwin of a dinger.

Laureano also added a diving catch and a two-run single.

An excellent all-around effort Laureano to help the A’s come away with an 8-4 victory in Anaheim. Oakland now has an AL-best 13-6 record, and a 4.5-game lead in the AL West.
