This is something I have never seen before.

A swarm of bees hovered around home plate in the 9th inning of the Rockies-Padres Spring Training game in Peoria, Arizona. Video shows the bees hovering around in such large numbers that they were noticeable from the outfield camera. Seconds later, everyone dropped to the ground for fear of getting stung by the bees.

There’s so many bees out there, it looked like GOB Bluth might’ve been at the game.

In a scene that looked like it was out of a zombie movie or like the commentators said, a nuclear drill, the players took no chances as the bees momentarily took over. A swarm globbed onto a nearby field side microphone and play eventually continued.

Despite the Padres scoring in the bottom of the 9th, the Rockies held on to win 10-5.
