Josh Donaldson has teased his future appearance on the History channel show Vikings for a little while now, and today a teaser was released showing a behind the scenes look at the reigning AL MVP’s first acting role.

The video shows Donaldson transitioning to becoming a Viking, and the process in pretty elaborate. He’s given a costume (which he says he was made for), willingly gets his hair and beard styled Viking-style, gets some head tattoos, and is dirtied up.
When all is said and done, the Blue Jays third baseman actually looks like he’s dropped right out of the Viking Age. Donaldson admits he’s nervous, but says he’s used to performing in front of a ton of people – saying he’s good at baseball, but not as good nor comfortable as an actor.
Donaldson seemed to have a blast on set, tweeting back in January it was experience he’ll never forget.
