It often feels like there isn’t enough credit paid to good fielding from pitchers, but there are certainly plenty of examples of pitchers making great plays with the glove. The latest remarkable glove play from a pitcher came in Sunday night’s Philadelphia Phillies-Atlanta Braves game, with Braves’ relief pitcher Tyler Matzek gloving a hard-hit ball from Odubal Herrera behind his head in the seventh inning and starting a double play:

That’s some impressive fielding. And it’s part of what helped the Braves to an eventual 6-1 win over the Phillies.
