IFC’s Brockmire, about disgraced baseball broadcaster Jim Brockmire (played by Hank Azaria), has provided a special blend of baseball, humor and dirtiness over its first two seasons. It’s also found quite an audience, leading to the announcement last March that it was renewed for seasons three and four. We now have a premiere date for Season 3, featuring Brockmire’s attempted return to the majors, and it’s almost upon us:

No word yet on if this season will feature actual sports media members (Brian Kenny, Jonah Keri and Tim Kurkjian have all shown up in the past, and Joe Buck has made multiple funny appearances), but with or without special guests, Brockmire has always managed to land some notable jokes about the current state of the sports media world.
