There are home runs and then there are home runs. And then there’s Bryce Harper blasting the hell out of a baseball as if it owed him money. Harper finished a six run ninth inning with a grand slam to defeat the Cubs 7-5.

Yu Darvish was pinpoint for the Cubs pitching seven innings of four hit baseball and finishing with 10 K’s. But it would be the bullpen that would be the Cubs’ downfall as Derek Holland came in to face Harper and…well things didn’t go his way.
Harper hit his 25th home run of the season and his sixth walk-off homer of his career (first with Phillies). A big win in the Wild Card race, the grand slam puts the Phillies within one of the Cubs for the second Wild Card spot. And if Harper can hit like that, the Phillies may be prime to make a run heading into the homestretch of this MLB season.
