The San Francisco Giants and Washington Nationals had a bench clearing brawl that started as Hunter Strickland threw at Bryce Harper in the first pitch of his 8th inning at bat, hitting him in the hip.
And this wasn’t some pushing around, acting like they were fighting fight. Both players landed punches to the face and were really trying to beat the crap out of the other.
Apart from the ridiculously hilarious helmet throw by Harper, the entire scene was really tense. Before the fight got any worse between Harper and Strickland, the benches cleared and all hell broke loose. Strickland was so pissed off at Harper that it took multiple teammates to restrain him. Both players were ejected and will likely result in a suspension.
